Livejournal has been kind of a wasteland as of late, so it's been ages since I've posted anything on here. However, a number of people who still read LJ *hopefully* have a significant interest in a battle that has been slowly taking place in the western states. I'm of course making reference to the legal battle surrounding Federal vs. State

It's always fascinated me that individual states have laws and yet we're one country with federal laws as well. The way things in this country are going, it is not going to be good for wolves or humans.

An adept statement. If i have any real sympathy for the wolves, it's that they're not being given the benefit of sound rational scientific reasoning, they're just getting caught up in a battle between the fed and the states. But, in some ways, this battle has been going on for quite some time.

I concur.

If it was important enough to put the time and resources into in the first place, we shouldn't defund and give up on these projects without review of and discussion equilelent to the original decision to do so. Failure to pay it that much attention is just a blind waste of time and money, then and now.
