Foolishness...confusedllamaNovember 3 2003, 07:15:00 UTC
I, for one, have no idea what you're talking about. "Hi, Ho, Cherrio!" is clearly a MUCH greater threat to the morals of the masses and, since it is aimed at younger children, begins the process of corruption that much earlier in life. I am greatly disappointed that you, as the long-standing defender of Christian values and righteous activism that we all know you to be, have failed to recognize this danger and appropriately condemn it. You must be a Communist. ~The University Whore
Grammar education, on the other hand, is optionalconfusedllamaNovember 3 2003, 10:52:58 UTC
I reject your argument on the basis that the lesson here proposed revolves around a slang term which, if their parents have been doing their jobs, said little girls should be unaware of. Besides, positive messages never generalize to real life in young minds unless explicitly stated (i.e. no metaphors allowed, even the thinnest) and shoved down their throats numerous times, the Chronicles of Narnia notwithstanding. Only nefarious subversive-type messages have the power to coalesce from any kind of seemingly innocuous symbol and inextricably lodge their claws in the impressionable.
I surprised, dissapointed, and deeply saddened that all of you have failed to recognize the only true threats to our great white Christian holy land
