This morning Ben wanted to stop by Best Buy to see if they had the old school Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV show on DVD.  We got there about 10 minutes before it opened, so we wandered next store to PetSmart to see if anyone had brought any cute puppies for me to squeal over, knowing that we would be able to resist adopting one because we feel it ( Read more... )

But it is much more bearable when you have wonderful friends like asatomuraki.  Since Ben had to work and couldn't nurse me through this stomache bug, he called her and she came over with popsicles, saltines, a can of soup, and diet ginger ale.  She even made sure it was Splenda-free for me (I'm one of those people who gets sick from Splenda, so drinking it  ( Read more... )

I am absolutely unable to make it through A Muppet Christmas Carol without crying.  And not because some of the songs are kind of painful to listen to (particularly when sung by a pig).  Because I just genuinely can't make it through the part where Tiny Tim is dead without bursting into tears.

I burned my finger while baking my annual batch of pumpkin bread.

And then after I wrote the above sentence I dropped a glass and broke it.

And one of my loaves just won't finish baking.

I would make myself a comforting cup of hot cocoa, but at this point I'm afraid of what would happen if I tried to boil water tonight.
