Mmmm, Schnitzel und Weissbier

I made schnitzel tonight.  It turned out pretty darned good, if I do say so myself.  I feel like it could have been better, like there was something missing, but I can't put my finger on what, exactly.  Guess I'll have to look for more alternate recipes and see if there's one that has something that none of the ones I looked at already had.  Or ( Read more... )

haha I never manage good schnitzel, but then again I don't do that very often :P same counts for spaetzle... I reall don't eat very traditional...

That's the full extent of my German/Austrian cooking right there. I can't think of anything else I really want to make. Maybe some baked goods . . . Bienenstichkuchen oder so etwas . .

I'm not that much of a fan of german/austrian traditional kitchen... all very heavy food and nearly no fish... well palatschinken are great tough (but those can count as danish or french too)

No, they're good enough to share as they are now, I think. Maybe you can help me figure out whether anything really does need to be added or if I'm just crazy.

I don't know if my tastes are that discerning. The last time I had authentic schnitzel... you may not have even been born. O_O

Still, we have to have you over for the fish (and yummy chicken ;) ) meal before you treaty us again! It looks like our options are down to Tomorrow night or sometime next week? Or is Sunday an option?

Sunday is an option. We just have wedding stuff Friday and Saturday.

I'd be up for either tomorrow or Sunday, whatever works best for you.
