Charlie has evened out somewhat, and I think a big part of that is the more physically active job he has. I know the last thing you want to do while you're depressed is to go out and exercise, but you may want to look into a regular program. He still has his low points and manic phases, of course, but they seem to be fewer and shallower.
By the way, speaking of Stallings genetics, PLEASE go get your cholesterol checked.
you know I think you might be right.. I have had a craving to do something active.. maybe it is my body telling me what I need to do to get though it.. and as for my cholesterol last I had it checked I was good.. just a few point low on my good and high on my bad.. but I have been planning on getting a physical sometime soon.
I understand about not wanting to take anything. Its hard to think about relying on a pill for the rest of your life. Lots of people have to rely on medications - they can truly save lives.
I lived most of my life with 2 unmedicated bipolar people (my mom and sis). Life was most unfun. Meds changed their lives, and I am able to have a relationship with them because of it.
Its your body, though, and its your call. But, it could completely change your life for the better.

True the meds don't cure the disease but they certainly help.
