Witnessing History

So . . . is/was your dorm a big den of excitement? One of the people I was talking to online said she lived in a dorm and people were running through the halls cheering.

I was stuck at home, with nobody else inclined to celebrate, so I was squeeing over the internet to everybody there.

Oh yeah! There was this huge roar of cheering when it was announced. It was such an awe inspiring night. We were dancing around singing patriotic songs. It was a blast!
Of course then there were the McCain supporters who have now started writing hate messages on their door boards. It's sad because McCain took it with such maturity and grace and asked his supporters to do the same and support Obama and they're stamping their little feet like two year olds having a tantrum. So many of them are crucifying Obama before he has a chance to prove himself.

But any way I was psyched! I didn't finish watching the news after that. Who got senator for MN?

Nobody knows yet who won Senator---the Vulture and Al Franken are tied at 42%, with Barkley taking the other 16. It sounds like Coleman's ahead by a few hundred votes, but because it's so close there's a mandatory recount.

The Minnesota wilderness-and-arts amendment appears to have passed.

I'm personally worried about Prop 8 in California, which is itself still undecided.

I really don't want Franken or Coleman to get it but there's no hope really of Barkely getting it is there? When do you think Jordan will announce it the referendum passed or not?
