Despite the horrid results for Republican's nationwide, Dave Reichert has held onto the 8th Congressional District (the district I'm in).   Right now his total lead over Darcy Burner is 4%, which is better than 2006 when he won by 3%.  In the King County portion, he's leading 51 to 49% and around 2000 votes (compare 2006, win in KC by only 300 ( Read more... )

The election is done.  McCain lost and I'm not surprised... and I'm really not all that upset about it.  I think it's mostly because I was never really excited about him and figured he'd be another Bob Dole (which he turned out to be), but another important reason is that past September, I never deluded myself into thinking that he would actually ( Read more... )

I'll be going to an friend's annual costume party tonight.  My costume this year: "The Obama-messiah".   I'll be decked out with an Obama mask, a Jesus robe spruced up with "Hope & Change" lettering across the sash, and topped with a crown of thorns that includes a halo filled in with a modified version of Barack's logo that has his shining face ( Read more... )
