I've come to the conclusion that Barack Obama is the Antichrist.  Not so much because of what he's done but because of the way his followers worship him.... which is pretty much inline with Biblical and longheld, popular Christian descriptions of the Antichrist:  a political leader that's young and charasmatic, that offers a false, secular hope ( Read more... )

is there something so wrong in being inspired by someone? must we be jaded to be taken seriously?

Obama is not perfect - he has his faults, and recognizes them. During his 2nd speech concerning Rev. Wright, he asks that those listening take to heart his message, "even if the messenger is flawed". He's not some monolithic entity worthy of worship, but he is the figurehead for a change of new ideas that are so sorely needed.

I know that you're half joking, but its a bit childish to call him the anti-christ.

You don't need to be jaded, but there's a difference between being inspired and being fanatical to the point that you seem one man as the answer to all the world's problems - you may not see it, but I tell you the truth: from an outsiders perspective, that how Obama worshipers come across.

As for him being the Antichrist, who said I was joking?

True I do think that Jesus is the answer to all the worlds problems... but I also don't think there's much of a comparison between being fanatical about God, creator of the universe and savior of my immortal soul, and being fanatical about a politician (and seriously, if he is the Antichrist, do you really want to be in the group that's fanatical about Satan???)
