Wow, it's been a while. I've gotten some things accomplished in the last month, more planning than actual doing, though, but still, plenty of pictures. That are on a memory card. In my bag. In my truck. Which is being driven by my brother while he's in town. Crap

I totally agree about the pirate thing. Even I would love to have an excuse to dress up like a pirate (and you should see the killer pirate costume Melissa made last year for Bristol!)

We usually only get a chance to go to TRF one weekend now, and our anniversary (when we usually go) falls between the French and Roman themes. *yawn* How disappointing. German, Spanish, Fae... I would have loved to make a theme costume for any of those weekends! That's too bad.

Melissa as in Sempstress Melissa? Made a pirate costume? This I must see.

French costume has never really jazzed me much, but I think the roman thing will be a fun excuse to try several different period jewelry techniques, plus, knowing the TRF weather, a nice, airy, peplos will be a welcome reprieve from things heavier and more constricting.

Anyway, I hope to see you out thee one weekend, you are one of my absolute favorite costumers, and your work is totally inspiring. The pictures on your website just totally look like portraits come to life. Your costumes never fail to take my breath away. Sorry if that sounds a little odd, but, hey, I'm a fan.
