Less than four hours until I'm in surgery, y'all. Eeeeeeeeeeeee. My pre-admission appointment went well yesterday; as suspected, I'm pretty much in perfect health besides this damn cyst. Hey, so here's some excitement: guess who's got two thumbs and is having surgery on Tuesday! This guy.Yeah. I went to the doctor yesterday to see about surgical options for getting rid of the cyst and ended up with appointments for a CAT scan today, a 2-hour pre-surgical dealie tomorrow, and surgery scheduled for noon on March 4th. Today's new and exciting experience: having a camera up one's nose at eight in the morning!

Which is to say: I went to the Ear, Nose & Throat doctor today to see about getting the benign cyst on my thyroid removed. I get to have a needle biopsy (oh, goody) next week, and if that doesn't turn up anything nasty, we should be able to cut that sucker ( Read more... )
