It's interesting to read this side of the issue. I was never vaccinated, partially because my parents filed some sort of conscientious objector forms with the government and partially because of a severe egg allergy (albumen is used as a base for many vaccines.) Now, I'm unsure whether or not to start getting vaccinated, as I'm far healthier than most of my vaccinated friends. I never fell victim to any of the things which one is commonly vaccinated for.

As far as the "no negative side effects" thing, I'm kind of going to have to call you on that because many people do experience side effects, though extreme side effects are rare, they do occur. This is a link to a Canadian government information page about vaccine side effects ( ... )

I wasn't refering to general side effects from vaccines (redness, soreness, inflammation, flu like symptoms for a couple days after it)... I was talking about stuff like autism/learning disabilities/asthma ( ... )

Hey, sup.

The autism-vaccines link isn't the vaccines themselves, it's the thimerosol (I think I spelled that wrong) that's linked (sort of) to autism. BOTH sides of this argument need to be studied, published, and debated by experts... but it's not just some crazy crack-brained theory.

I don't know about the learning disabilities and asthma being related to vaccines. That's just... I don't know. Just like no one thing can cure a million different ailments, no one thing generally CAUSES a million different ailments.

This woman's comments reminds me of an episode of House where he goes off at this mother for not believing in vaccines because they only suit the multi-billion-dollar companies and aren't actually there to help people.

The stupidity is amazing sometimes.

But at least the image in my head conjured up by this post made me giggle.

Kudos.

I could've put pictures of babies.... ;) That's definetly got giggle-worthy!

I actually JUST wrote another post about this topic, which I will de-friend momentarily, and I actually did research and remained slightly more objective than the above posting!
