Today the decision was made to move graduation to 21 at 9:00 in the morning. We are going to get 'inserts' to put in our invitations so it will read "May twenteith oneth," lol...ghetto. Our principal was suprisingly nice about everything but I cant say the same for the superintendent, but I wont go there. No one agrees with the decision and moms ( Read more... )

10 Reasons...and more. candiceparker April 13 2005, 04:01:18 UTC
First off I have nothing against you..infact I have always thought you were funny and all that good junk but I hafta say something here...esp. when you bring my dad into this public journal..and what has my dad done any different than the principle? I mean ya'll haven't had a meeting with him or anything so he hasn't said anything that wasn't "nice"..soo I dunno, I'm sure that that comment was just directed at me ( ... )

My mom spoke with your dad yesterday and he was very rude, I didnt put his or your name out there and no one would have known because ppl that read my journal are from Enterprse, Dville, or off at college. I have just a FEW ppls names from Skipperville. He also said things to other ppl, it was not directed at you at alllll. I wrote about three different entries yesterday that was very mean and directed towards you. But I erased them all becaues I thought it was stupid to argue over. It's just that in your life and the boys life baseball is a big deal...but it's not to everyone else because then we would support them and I love the boys to death we've grown up together, but its the fact that nothing at that school holds a candle to baseball and it's not fair. Do you think the baseball team supported me when I was on the volleyball team and we were on our way to state? Heck no and no special treatment would be given. It's not a big deal, either way we graduate and Im glad the boys will be there to do it with us..it's the principle that ( ... )

PS- We will never agree to this whole thing just because we have such different lives, but I don't want the world to hate me because something was misunderstood.

Oops forgot # 11.. candiceparker April 13 2005, 04:36:55 UTC
# 11. These boys dedicate themselves to this sport... they sacrifice their freakin' Spring Break and weekends to be the best so that they are in it TILL THE END...you all should be ashamed to expect them to make such a choice!

Okay, but I have a question? candiceparker April 13 2005, 05:28:22 UTC
You are right I doubt we will ever agree on this. But I do have a question in all seriousness..cause I hafta say it is mainly what is driving me SO crazy. Why is it a problem to the people that oppose the change? Like I said..it will cost no money (inserts will be provided by the school) and it's just a few hours behind the time it was originally planned for..so why is it even an issue? I mean if everyone thinks about it with the mindset of the baseball/softball players and their families ..the only right thing to do is change it. It's just one of them situations where ya gotta put yourself in their shoes. I mean it seems simple to me.. you all graduate together or you don't.. why would anyone chose to have it when you wouldn't all get to walk together and say your last goodbyes? I'm just curious if there is something that I'm catching on to.

From what I heard, because they spent money for nice invitations and now they are going to look very tacky. No one understands why they couldnt have thought about this last year when making the school calender. And I also think they are thinking, why dont the administration think about the other ppl instead of baseball all the time. I have family coming down that may not get to get off of work now, ppl that mean a lot to me that have been there all of my life. And Ive also heard the statement about them having enough rings to go on every finger but you graduate once. Im not the only person who didnt agree but I was the first one to state my opinion. They always complain about baseball and having to practice so I dont see why they even play. I dont care, either way, we are graduating...and that is what Ive said from the get go. We talk about it in class, daily...everyone else talks about how they don't like it yet I catch all the flack, but w/e. It's done with now..lets just stop ( ... )
