Is this "Wordplay" movie anything like that one movie called "Leeches?" "Leeches" is about this college swim team that gets eaten by giant leeches. It has a few choice babes in it, but sadly, no nudity. The leeches are moderately convincing, albeit clearly handpuppets.
It's a precise adaptation, except for the scene in which Vasilyvich commissions the noodle sculpture. The director saw this as an apt, if accidental, allegory for the death of Don Knotts, and so filmed it in the "manic" style.
You know, leeches are hermaphroditic, and so was Don Knotts, so I hardly think the allegory was accidental. Here's an anecdote to charm even your most brutal peerage: I once met one of Don Knotts' offspring at summer camp. We were in the saloon, drinking aftershave, and naturally, we started hitting on sluts. He was talking to a real nice one as I helped myself to one of his beets. He seemed to have this real nice one in the bag when she turned to him and said, "No thanks, I'm Lebanese." He inquired as to why that had anything to do with it, and she responded "I'm attracted to women." He then turned to me and said, without missing a beet, "Hell, I always thought I was American, but it turns out I'm Lebanese!"

And that's why dykes won't eat beets.
