ABSTRACTMy sister and soon-to-be-brother-in-law were here and they were awesome! I gave them my old stereo which he is going to use in his art-making place. Do not go to "brownandsticky.com", or if you do it's not my fault. My funding was renewed, so I should do some work, or something. CASKIN now reads this LJ but I hate that name so I'm changing ( Read more... )

I wouldn't have been very good company, I'm afraid, and to boot I was hugely embarrassed. Still am, but there's no better way around that than to advertise it, right? So.

But thanks. I appreciate it. Again.

Yeah, being stood up does suck, but I kind of feel like I've done the same thing before, even if I can't remember when, so I'm having a hard time being mad. I've also heard the same thing about cops, actually, but I'm never one to listen to good advice.

Oooh, that's insidious. I'm sure my friends are mature enough not to have done that. If they have, well. Whatever. Oh, well.

Not a thesis, but a research paper. I know, isn't that awesome? It's about auto racing in the 30s, so it is historical, but how cool is that?

Har! No, that's okay. I probably deserve it for having done the same thing in the past to someone, so I don't know. I'm having a hard time feeling anything other than stupid, really.

I don't blow smoke up someone's butt, so please listen to me when I say this. You're not stupid taking a chance and letting your heart feel a little hopeful with The Feelings. If you did it in the past, you know not to do it again. You're a great guy and I barely know you. His loss. No more phone calls to him.

And I always wanted to tell you this --- when I was born...my dad was not at the hospital. He was out curling.

>I don't blow smoke up someone's butt

I love this image, even if I have no idea what it means.

But thanks. It's really nice to hear that from someone who doesn't know me all that well, and who doesn't say it because she feels obliged. I appreciate it. You're right--no more phone calls.

>when I was born...my dad was not at the hospital. He was out curling.

Please tell your father that I am desperately in love with him. (And, also, to get well.)

aww, man, that sucks about the cop that wasn't. :(

but how was the curling? i hope there wasn't a plague at your bonspiel the way there was at ours -- clearly, a wise call on your part.

Hee.

The curling was okay. We gave up three in the 8th and one in the 9th to lose to the eventual winners, so really we should have won the whole thing, is the way we see it, but in the end we won the 4th event. Hey, we get a shiny pin and the satisfaction of a job well done.
