He'd stopped by the potions lab to make himself something to assist with a vague sort of muscle ache. His chest still hurt from where he'd been blasted by that woman with the blue hair. He had no idea what spell she'd thrown at him - if it had even been a spell - but it still smart a bit. He was rubbing it lightly when he moved into the cafeteria looking for Lily.
He didn't really bother with food. He wasn't all that hungry.
"Hey," he said quietly as he sat down across from her, reaching across the table for her hand. "How are you feeling?"
She'd been dropped, after all. He hoped she wasn't still sore.
"I'll survive," she assured him as she took his hand, squeezing it gently. "And yourself?" she murmured. It had been ... well, chaotic out on the field when they'd been in the midst of the skirmish, but she thought he had only been hit that once.
She had a few bruises, but nothing that she felt needed medical attention - though she definitely wouldn't say no to a massage later. Or a soak in the tub. Maybe with candles. She smiled faintly to her thoughts as she gazed across the table toward him.
"A slight sore, but nothing I cannot manage," he said warmly, smiling at her gently. He ran his thumb over her knuckles lightly, and gazed around the room, a soft sigh on his lips. "We got lucky this time," he said quietly. "It could have been... so much worse than it was."
He didn't mean just them, either - all of DauphinMare had gotten off lucky this time around. He wondered too how many items they had managed to collect.
"I know," she said softly as she squeezed his hand lightly. She lifted his hand to her lips, pressing a kiss to his knuckles as she gazed at him, a little smile tugging at her lips. "But it's their turn next, isn't it?"
She supposed she knew the answer to that, and she sighed inwardly. She was not looking forward, at all, to Chaos' turn. Not when their last turn had wound her up defenseless in the other bubble.
