You know that specific type of headache you get when you have a repeated or sustained stress that travels all the way up your spine, like from stomping your feet for a really long time or (as in this case) driving for hours on end? Yeah, got me one o' them.

My grandmother passed away this morning. It was a long time coming, and a release for herself and all of us.

My grandmother (strictly speaking, my step-grandmother) was officially put into hospice today. Things may be.... unstable for me fairly soon, so please don't be surprised if I have to flake out without warning.

In Petersburg, VA (half an hour south of Richmond, for those who may not know... I have more international people on LJ than on Facebook, and Google+) we reached 5.9. The only damage we personally suffered was a few things that slipped off of shelves, but apparently a few new constructions need re-constructing ( Read more... )
