More fire

We had it spring to life again yesterday. I was barely in time to stop it and it burned 30 yards into our garden (about 60 yards to the house - huge garden). Then this evening again. We have a hot windy day forecast tomorrow and then possibly rain the next day....

Will pray for rain for you. We just finally got ours in West Houston yesterday.
Hope you didn't lose too much garden.

Thanks! Mostly grass that will recover fast, and a few shrubs - we kept it out of the trees. Nasty, though. Makes selling hard when the garden has 30 x 50 burned piece!

We're still looking forward to our turn in February.
Except, locally at least, it seems very few people are. They seem to have forgotten that rather a lot of Victoria got rather badly scorched earlier this year, and next year looks like it's going to be even hotter and dryer...
