I spent most of today at the Takoma Park Folk Festival. I saw a number of acts on a number of stages. This was at least the 5th time I have gone to the festival which was first held in 1978, and every year since then. I've now watched 8 of 12 episodes in this season and I've got to say that I just don't get it. I don't love it. It's not awful but it's not great either. The story is more interesting than the characters. I prefer character driven stories to plot driven ones. Obviously this show wasn't made for me. I've just started watching The Wire, for the first time. I'm 3 episodes in to Season 1 and so far I'm not loving it. It's not bad but it isn't great. Maybe the show will grow on me over time ( Read more... )

I love my pea soup but it is a bit on the sour side. I often get a slight stomach ache after eating it. I hope it isn't doing any permanent damage to my system. I should probably have more than just a single slice of bread with it.
