Random conversations with strangers was the name of the game today. I spent the afternoon in Newtown, which is a highly eclectic suburb of Sydney. It is filled with tattoo parlours and good food, and is a very colourful part of town. The Capoeira School was performing at the Newtown Community Festival and I went to be supportive and maybe play a ( Read more... )

Oh thank you for reminding me of that Python quote. I've been in the US and A, for 9 months already, and haven't thought to put it to use...

Dude... wanna talk about a bad start to the season. Hello Sens. I still have faith we will rally back.
Guiness is always an acceptable solution when it comes to beer.
And I think that you could definitley be an adopted son of the Canadian people. I think Canadians everywhere would eagree with me there.

Random conversations with random people are sometimes not all that random. Then again, how did you manage to chat with them in the first place? I'm guessing one of those proximity things.

Yeah they were standing there and we just happened to strike up a conversation. I totally agree though. The world loves to push people together.

He lives!

Glad to hear from you, brotha-man. I love days like that, and try to really appreciate them. They are so few and far between, it seems, so I doubt we have all that many in our life-time. It's good of you to document it.

Still Rockin' the ROK, and things are okay. Keep taking good care of yourself so we can eventually grab a beer, perhaps in some seeming random place and time.

Word! I can't wait man. If we go out for a beer any time soon, it will either take complete randomness or alot of extensive planning. Either way, I'm down homie.
Glad to hear the ROK is treating you well. Have some Soju for me ( although I'm sure you already are)
Cheers brother,
JD

The lack of good cereal here (ie. a bowl of good good whole wheat shreddies) has turned me back to boozing on weekends. It's like first year University, only I'm not drinking on weekday mornings!

randomness and cereal. mmM. i just enjoyed almost two weeks of mini-wheats, it was excellent, they come in vanilla flavour now, i recommend them. checking into your flight with a bike box allows ease-of-random-conversation as well.
