Random conversations with strangers was the name of the game today. I spent the afternoon in Newtown, which is a highly eclectic suburb of Sydney. It is filled with tattoo parlours and good food, and is a very colourful part of town. In the pat 4 months I have been sort of seeing a lady at work. By sort of seeing I mean every now and then we end up spending the night together after having too much to drink on a Friday night. Usually we go out for breakfast as well so that’s a bonus.

Today marks 7 months I have been in Australia, and it still feels like I just got here. Lately more so than ever, with a very acute sense of Homesickness hitting me like a hammer sometime around mid month last month. I have been keeping busy to try and get it too pass, and I’m sure it will eventually, but in the mean time

            Some great customer service stories have cropped up in the past month.  I think my favourite was a complaint I called “Control, control there’s a black man coming out of the floor”. This lady sends in a copmlaint and I phone her up to find out what happened. She begins to tell me a tale…a tale of two sales men at her door. One was “a ( Read more... )
