So, what is the collective opinion of Sugar? My small poll is that Sugar lacks ambience and flow; the people who are running it lack a real sense of a gay market, and that the nostalgia of it will wear out early..

Eh, it was OK for me. It's lacking something (or a collection of somethings), but I can't place my finger on it. I don't see it lasting very long - the cover charge on opening weekend was $10, which most people waited in line for, only to be greeted with too much white and too weak drinks (which resulted in another long wait). Cover now is only $5 on weekends, but there's nothing special about Sugar to lure me in there over some other bars.
