Why is it that I have no faith in any book with "Everything You Need to Know About . . ." as part of the title

I hope I don't get trapped at my folks this weekend by the weather, but I'm also hoping for a snowday on Monday. Then I could play without feeling guilty.

Because such books may contain everything you need to know, but rarely in a well-explained, comprehensive format that actually makes sense, and they leave a lot out because of the compressed format?
