It's the 14th of August and I just saw the first two green tomatoes on my plants, the pumpkins haven't bloomed yet, and I'm bringing in the first pea harvest of the year. I wonder if it's going to be as bad as they're predicting this winter or if we'll get a nice long fall in compensation.

Gen's eye was pink all day yesterday with no signs of getting better, and we couldn't get the pink eye medicine because the pharmacy wasn't open. So of course her eye is completely better today. I'm late on a lot of my planting, like usual, but what I do have in is really happy this year. For instance, I've counted over 30 volunteer pumpkins and my radishes actually look as perfect as the pictures in the seed catologues. I'm thinking we're going to be canning a lot of pumpkin this year, though.

How many times can I say it. I'm currently going to breakfast to avoid it a bit longer.
