In our best years, we get our first ripe tomato in early to mid June. our worst year so far, we got our first sungold on July 4. This year it took till August 10th. It looks like a few more are atarting to turn color.

Lucky! I don't even have green fruit yet. They've been flowering, and last week, shot up more than a foot, but no tomatoes.

That describes a lot of my plants. I don't think there is a single paste tomato out of about 20 plants. One of my friends at school is also tomato-less so far. I would be shocked if we see any westside corn at the farmers market this year.

I have 3 sides and the roof on my greenhouse, and the plants in there are setting a lot more fruit than the plants outside, but none are ripe yet. This is providing me with a lot of incentive to build the next greenhouse a lot faster.

Yeah. We made sure to put manure down where our coldframe's going to be. We didn't get it up this year, but I sure want it for next season.

Ah, I see, I thought you had tomatoes under cover that weren't ripening! Ours have been coming along slowly but surely. I've had cherry tomatoes for the past month or so, and our romas and slicers have been ripening for the past few weeks, though I'm just now starting to harvest more than one or two at a time.
