last night i won a raffle. my first raffle. i've been in so many random drawings before, and i always wondered what it was like to actually hear your ticket number called out, completely out of the blue. thankfully the prize was actually kind of tite ($25 itunes) and not like a magnet or a bumpersticker or something.

i'm counting down the hours

there are few things i hate more than waking up past noon.

i hate having to drive to get to a beach. i hate having to drive to see my friends. i hate having to worry about my fone, keys, and wallet. i hate having to turn on the air conditioning. i hate having to remember to put on anti-perspirent. i hate everything that reminds me that i'm not where i want to be.

the last 12 days were perfect.

I'm going to Rhode Island to stay with my crabby grandmother and jolly grandpops, and my parents. My dad will unwind and spend every second possible doing nothing important. My mom will probably try her best to evade her mother-in-law. I'm not going to have any fun, but at least I'll be able to show them how much of a strapping young lad I've ( Read more... )
