I'm firmly in the camp of Crews and Reese being something qualitatively different from romantic love. And yeah, maybe it's because I prefer my relationships to stay mainly in fanfic, or maybe it's because I'm so firmly convinced of the Matt/Charlie thing, but...I feel like they left it unclear for a reason. And it was unclear, even with the whole Bodner (Botner?) references.
The hand touch, though. That was basically fantastic. As was Charlie in the car with Roman, who really ought to have known better.
I tend to agree with the writers making the whole situation unclear, probably to not upset any portion of the audience, but I am slightly fearful.
Of course, 'Life' had tackled some topics/circumstances that most other shows fail at, so who knows how the creative minds would handle the situation.... I trust them. I JUST WANT MORE 'LIFE'!!!!
That hand touch was amazing. It was beautiful no matter what you take as the meaning.
I have to admit, I was really enjoying Bodner's scenes with Charlie by the end of the episode. So much that I am wishing they had more in-depth exchanges earlier this season.
