Um... does anybody know what can impress a girl? I-I mean... you know... something that'll make a girl happy? Like a present, or...

...I don't know.

[Oh god Simon why are you doing this to yourself.]

[Locked TO Anise, ridiculously hackable, feel free to laugh at his fail] ( Read more... )

[LUCKILY she doesn't notice that first message, because she's just happy to see the second!]

Simon! ♥ Uh-huh, I got back last week, so I'm okay. Tokunaga actually got it worse than I did, but Dist's fixing him up for me. So he'll be all right, too!

[Yay, she's okay! His relief is pretty obvious, though... poor Tokunaga.]

I'm glad you're okay. I was worried...

You were worried? [She giggles; you're so unintentionally sweet Simon.] But I'm okay now, so it's all right.

[Of course he's going to worry about you :c] W-well... that's good. When do you think Tokunaga will be fixed?

[On one hand, she's sick of trying to give Jeremy relationship advice. On the other, he sounds too young to be as spectacularly fail as said crow...]

That does depend on the girl, for the most part... what do you have in mind?

[You'd be amazed how fail this one can be.]

I-I'm not really sure. Some people say flowers, but I'd have to look for where to find them, and some say to bake something, but I can't cook... there's not really much I'm good at.

[She chuckles. He's too young for sure...]

Well, I imagine that a lot of people have suggested gifts of some sort. But gifts only go so far...

As long as you're very kind and gentle, I think most girls will trust you.

Kind and gentle, really? I know it's always better to be kind, but I thought girls liked boys who are tough and strong.

Have you tried sweets?

Well, I've only seen the girls in my school, but they all seemed to like getting little cakes and chocolates.

Desserts are that popular with girls...? [Well, he can't really blame them. He loves to eat.

...He just can't cook.]

[...Well, that's a voice he hadn't heard before. Sounds young, too. Well, the kid's asking for advice, and Thirteen's fatherly/leader instincts kind of take over here. He opens communication with Simon and solidifies his filter.]

First of all, the most important thing is confidence. You have to carry yourself well, and show you accept who you are. If you're confident in who you are and let that show to some degree, she'll pick up on that. It makes you look more desirable.

And if you're looking to impress a girl with gifts, tailor it to suit her tastes. Any idea what those are?

C-confidence...? [Uh-oh. It had to be the one thing he's worst at, didn't it?]

Ah... she likes cooking and making dolls, I think.

Yes, confidence. It's not hard. You don't have to think you're some sort of superhero and you don't need to go moving the earth to prove anything. All you have to do is like who you are.

Then think something along those lines. Doll making is more unusual of a hobby, so it'll show that you think more of her if you show support of her hobbies. Does that make sense?

[That's still pretty hard for him, lol.] I can try...

How can I support her hobbies? Say I like them or something?

[This is. So. Cute. If only her captain could be more like this. It looks like he's getting more than enough answers to his question, so she will just ask one of her own.]

How old is she?

How old...? Fourteen I think. U-unless she's fifteen now... I hope I didn't miss her birthday...!
