Long Trail

Jun 14, 2006 16:59

Recently, I decided to do the Long Trail. I'll be leaving July 10, and will be back near the beginning of August. I'll be in Amherst until I leave, and I will be going to pennsic shortly after I get back from the trail. I haven't yet figured out where I'm stopping, or when I'll be places, but if you'd like to join me for a day or two, please do! ( Read more... )

Sam in Vermont! Yay!

I'm traveling a bit in July, but I can't imagine that I won't be able to join you for one day (although I'm sure you're in significantly better shape than I am).

Let me know once you know the details :)

hey hun. I now know where I'll be when, so name me a date, and I'll tell you where I'll be. Also, I currently have no way of getting from the end of the trail (near North Troy) to Burlington (where all the busses and whatnot leave from) I have a couple things to try, but if you were available around august 3 or 4th (tentative end date) and felt like driving up there, and returning with a stinky hiker, that would be most amazing. do let me know, and I shall hopefully talk to you soon! (obviously no worries if you're busy, but just thought I'd ask.)

I'm in the middle of the moving process, so I can't name you a date yet (things are a little hectic), but I'm sure there'll be some weekend that I can come hike with you.

I'd be happy to pick you up when you're done, but I'm not sure that I'll be able to because a) I might be moving again (my current living situation is temporary and I'm looking for places for Aug 1st or 15th) and b) I might be in MA because Ethan might be visiting the East Coast and my step-mom might be having my half-brothers then. So...yeah. Once I figure some of this stuff out, I can let you know, but it's probably a good idea for you to come up with an alternate plan.

When do you need to know this stuff by?

I grew up in southern Vermont, and remember seeing where the trail crosses Rt. 9 (I think) as you go from Searsburg into Bennington. I love that area (actually I just love Vermont!) and I hope you do too.

Hopefully we'll get a chance to chat about it at Pennsic!
