Sir Thomas Malory's Le Morte D'Arthur
Despite my dread of this book (two! Two volumes!), it's actually turned out to be quite fun, in that omgwtf? kind of way. Let me illustrate in this handy summary of the first two chapters. (Bonus game: Spot the plagiarism!) (Also, many thanks to dzurlady, who betaed this for me.)

Le Morte D'Arthur In A Shortish Amount Of Time )

Thanks! I'm glad I'm not the only one amused by it. Morte d'Arthur is actually quite fun - now if only I could say the same about Mists of Avalon. At the moment, a summary of that would go:
Duchess: Woe, woe, angst.
Merlin: Yo, sleep with Arthur!
Duchess: No! ANGST.
Duchess's sister: Bitch, please. Do your duty.
Duchess: *sulks* ANGST.
Gentle Reader: Argh! *sporks own eyes out*

I love this. It makes me wish *I* had a cracked out book to read, so I could do this. All I have are boring textbooks.
(Although:
'The daily miracle: an introduction to journalism'
Introduction: *is both self important and boring*
Dzurlady: *cynical*
Handy journalism glossary: *vaugely interesting*
Very basic web glossary: *contains definitions such as 'what is the internet?'*
Dzurlady: *rolls eyes*
Chapter one: *is like the introduction, only more so*
Dzurlady: Shoot me now. *abandons will to live*)
