when i saw the thing about wiimlbledon, i totaly hoped someone i knew would be going. and it's you! yay!
i hate to say it, but i don't really dig superchunk, so i prolly won't go to that show.
omg, looking at videoke clips will be the death of me. pussycat dolls + fish = awesome.

The band at McCarren Park Pool is mostly incidentally to the hipster-watching. Although you may bake to death if you can't find space to rest in the shady spots.
I hope the water slide is back this year.

I really hate things outside. Really, really hate them.
It's a miracle that I've agreed to even go to the ones for bands I actually like -- I can't be bothered to go for bands I don't care about.

There's shade and places to sit and free water if you're in the VIP area for a JellyNYC show, though.
I really enjoy the hipsters on the water slide attempt (repeatedly) to impale themselves. Schadenfreude!
The thing that annoys me about these summer free concerts is that the bands are contractually unable to book a normal, ticked gig.
Although if it rains out, they will still get paid.
