I'm participating in a swap over at Ravelry's Yarnbenders group, and since I don't want to spoil my package for my swappee, I'm posting FO pics here.
Relevant for curious folk:
The prompt is to send the swappee a box of stuff inspired by a character. At least one of the items must be handmade.

Cosplay-along!

So, I somehow got the brilliant idea of doing a cosplay. I have no idea why. Actually, I do--I'm trying to figure out OWL projects for the HPKCHC, and one option is to create a coordinated set of accessories. I told some of my Rav friends and the cosplay-along is ON! for this January.

Tour de Fleece: Rookies
Off I go on my novice project! I started with 2 oz of cornflower blue Colonial top. It's not my shade of blue, to be honest...
Luckily, in Care of Magical Creatures this month, we're studying clabberts. One of the options is to craft a project inspired by a frog. Thus this colorway was born!

Tour de Fleece: Sprints
The Tour de Fleece is an annual event on Ravelry. Essentially, a bunch of spinners pledge to spin every day of the Tour de France; it's about getting to know other spinners, cheering each other on, and becoming a better spinner. Since I'm new to spinning, I thought I would give this a try.

"I won't need stitch markers." Famous last words! I've been working on my Queen of Tides shawl and the bigger it gets, the more desperate I am for stitch markers!
