Weekly/Bi-Weekly To Do Lists: List Seven

Dec 09, 2008 14:19

From the previous list, the following are completed:

1: The haste of the two extra class have had its toll; but they're on course to completion. This will be verified after receiving grades. Furthermore, a third class that had been ongoing since September will also be completed. With regard to the Medical Billing program, I will have two more classes next semester - which will leave me room to take one extra class (for enjoyment or extra learning).
2: Scripture studies has been going well. The aid of Bible study has been very helpful. My independent study on the Large Catechism and Predestination has slowed a bit; but they continue whenever I could. That pattern will continue from here on. I hope to at least complete Predestination by the end of the year; I'm already looking at the next topic to be selected.
3: Learning the Dubli business. My business on its own has not had a good start - if I can call it a start. With the help of my sister, I managed to attend some important teleconferences and listened in. Naturally, I took notes. While I need to regurgitate this information with my sister, it is nice having these notes. Hopefully, it will help.
7: After sermon Sunday, I notified the Pastor an interest in a 1-1 discussion. Later, I will - as he puts it - shoot him an e-mail. I look forward to that as well.

And now for the failed items:

4 and 6: With no obligation to train, I have laxed in this department a bit. In addition, my workout hours are normally 11 PM to 2 AM. Yes, I know; I'm crazy! Yoga is normally scheduled for 10 AM Saturday; waking up for that has been, well, non-productive. Nevertheless, I may not include this in my next list; but Yoga is something that I definitely want to do. As for running, that will have to be squeezed in whenever convenient. The current daylight savings setting has not been helpful.
5: I lagged booking for the ACEN room. I'm afraid of the status of Hyatt room availability; but there's a high chance of this place being full. Complication will arise of finding a place then. Yet, it is a nice change of pace from previous years; and this is how I'll look at it.
8: Sadly, the laptop I wanted was sold out. Later models are available, however, they are too expensive. I'd have to wait into next year for the price to go down. If I can get a laptop via Dubli, that will be great.
9: I have not given my DS any time - let alone sitting down to take notes from it. I'll throw it into my independent studies.

So, the next list:
  1. Vegas trip. Ticket is set. I'm ready to go. Yet, a few things aren't done such as what will I do there. Also, arrangements to meet up Ambie (from A4 IRC); I hope to exchange words of wisdom with her.
  2. Pastor Discussion. I plan to schedule a time with him. I will aim this discussion towards assorted lessons learned this year - kinda like a year in review. Naturally, the time allotted will not allow all the lessons. So, I'll focus on some of the more important ones.
  3. Christmas Cards to 2 WELS churches. I managed to visit and leave my name at two WELS churches beyond Chicago (in Peoria and Detroit). They were gracious enough to send me correspondence. I shall return the gesture with Christmas.
  4. Complete semester. I already took one final yesterday. With two more to go, I'll be done with classes this semester by next Tuesday. Well done.
  5. Room clean up. My room is a mess; but at least, I can still walk around. However, my space can be better used with some better equipment - like some shelving. Time to hit up Target or Walmart for some. Maybe even IKEA.
  6. Expose people to Dubli. I hope to expose more people to Dubli. This opportunity given to me must be shared. In addition, the learning of the business continues. It's just that; I require more pro-activity here now.
  7. Regular gym workouts. With classes waning, it's time to return to a more regular pattern of gym workouts.
  8. Register for next semester. This item, I'll have a due date of prior my departure to Vegas.

Expiration: December 28

NOTES:
1. Items to be added for the week. They are to be added to the above list.
2. Maximum of 10 items every week or 2 week list.
3. Time limit. An expiration date is set for each list for review and/or goal renewal purposes.
4. The next list will briefly evaluate performance on the previous list.
5. Failed items are to be assessed, readjusted, and/or determined if any can be included in a later list for completion.
