Weekly/Bi-Weekly To Do Lists: List Eight

Dec 29, 2008 15:37

From the previous list, the following are completed:

1. While I didn't get to meet anyone from A4, I still managed to enjoy this trip AND learn a bunch of things. This involved taking care of both my sister's kids (i.e. my nephews). I'll have to write down these lessons in a separate entry.
2. Sadly, my discussion with the Pastor had a time constraint - of only 30 minutes. Thankfully, I was prepared for it and managed to get through the subject matters that I wished to discuss. Regardless, I felt really good afterwards.
3. I sent the Christmas cards. While my tardiness is not excusable, I had sent the cards on Christmas Eve. Gladly, I hope my best words have come out of me that evening. At the time, it felt right; therefore, I hope it does turn out that way.
4. Just a couple seconds ago, I just checked my grades; and I can verify that my semester was completed in a timely fashion. Even got one A. For a community college, they have some tough standards here with a grade scale of 94% - 88% - 82%. To keep up with that, staying on the toes is required. I'm happy to get this done; and now for more.
7. With class one, I was able to hit up the gym more. Yet, sadly, I still have not taken advantage of the workout classes there. While the results of my gym workouts show my money's worth, I can get more by going to these classes, especially Yoga - which I had my eye on for the past month.

Apparently, I had some extra unlisted items done as well (not to pat myself on the back or anything):

* The day before my departure - I delivered some church flyers for Christmas. I have to ask the purpose of these; but I'm guessing it'll have to do with outreach. This was a task done last Easter and figured that I could do it again. Given the time constraint (and failure to perform the task the day prior), the cold Sunday was all I had.
* Clothes shopping. Thanks to my sister, I got some of this done. Looking around Macy's, we bought some nifty shirts as she was helping me choose; and I picked out the ones I like.
* Babysitting. This is really how my Vegas trip turned out. It was a week long session of babysitting and chilling out at my sister's place; and it was fun. To be noted in a separate entry.

Failed items:

5. Nope. I had not cleaned up my room before leaving. Instead, my mother ended up doing so while I was gone; and I wanted to prevent that actually. Even so, this will be a larger task from here on out, which includes buying shelving and getting a new bed (or futon). All part of improving living conditions.
6. My effort to Dubli has been lacking. If I look at the problem, it is me. To see people reject Dubli is rather disheartening; yet, I can understand why. It took me a while to join. I'll have to strategize or be more proactive in getting this business off the ground. But as said by established Dubli business people, the early part will be "hell".
8. I can actually do registration right now. Yet, I list here because - it is not done at this point. Even so, I am confident that I can still get those classes. Therefore, no need to list this next.

The next list:
1. Strange Days. This is actually by default.
2. Birthday shopping. I have a discount card from Macy's - $25 off for a purchase of $100 or greater. During the Vegas trip, both my sister and I managed to do that - spend more than $100. But hey, I'm liking the clothes there, so might as well get a bit more. :)
3. Work Out More. Sadly, I could not get any work out activity done during the Vegas trip. Although, taking care of a 2 and 7 year old for a couple days was a work out in itself. At this point, I will not list anymore work out related items - UNLESS - I find this activity significantly decreased.
4. License Renewal. My license expires Saturday. Better get that taken care of.
5. Enjoy January. The best part of post-holiday and a New Year. Everything feels... "new". Coming back from the trip, it surely does feel new.

Expiration: January 20.

NOTES:
1. Items to be added for the week. They are to be added to the above list.
2. Maximum of 10 items every week or 2 week list.
3. Time limit. An expiration date is set for each list for review and/or goal renewal purposes.
4. The next list will briefly evaluate performance on the previous list.
5. Failed items are to be assessed, readjusted, and/or determined if any can be included in a later list for completion.
6. Extra items can be noted but not necessary.
