Still around, believe it or not. The short version of my absence: summer is insanely busy for me at work, thus no free time to blog and then husband got a new job and had to give back our laptops to his old work. So, I don't have a computer and can only read on my phone. Great to keep caught up with everyone, but nearly impossible to write on.

I love my job most days, but it is rather annoying that I have to work when most people are in the play zone. I work every weekend, I am supposed to get 4 off a year, but I can't always take them. Sunday, I am responsible for bringing the food for a World Cup party. It will be all teenagers, that aren't the most adventurest eaters and I said the food would all be from the countries in the Finals (Spain and Netherlands). Motherhood is making me faster. The babies decided to nap at different times this afternoon (thankfully this is a very rare occurence), in the thirty minutes they were both sleeping I managed to:

1. Take cobbler from oven.
2. Clean off kitchen table.
3. Load most of the dishwasher.
4. Scrub down their highchairs.

Anybody got any ideas on how to help my son's heat rash? Our AC is out, so we have been in our basement, which is comfortable, but not cool. He hasn't had clothes on in several days. We are running our fan around the clock and he has been in the baby pool a lot. He is just really hot natured and sweats a ton when he sleeps.

My son is currently laying next to me throwing a hardcore baby party. He has no interest in bedtime. Our babysitter said she did everything she could think of to get him to sleep at his regular time. She is our nanny, so I know it isn't him just being excited that he has someone new to flirt with. I think it is going to be a long night. His dad ( Read more... )

Our AC went out again. The guy tried a temporary fix on it yesterday, until the part he needs arrives from the manufacturer in 2 weeks. It worked until this morning. Of course, it is was over 90 today. I am worried they going to find my body in a puddle of sweat ( Read more... )
