Playing Checkers

I'm playing checkers in my head, rather than with the actual furniture. I have a room I despise. I refuse to rearrange it because I spent a lot of time attaching stuff to the wall. I still despise it. It has to have something done soonest. I can't accomplish anything in there.

I very likely could, if I worked up the motivation to look for interior design software that runs under Linux. The thing is, I find that no matter how much sketching and planning I do, the field-test is the final word. For example, the coffee maker next to the couch looked like a great idea, until I tried to actually use it and found it very cumbersome.

i have the very same thing....
i will think about cleaning a room- and will go get everything i need- but cant start until i get the lightbulb for the lamp which leads to cleaning the lamp really well with the attachment that was chewed by the dog.. and so forth... and the room never ends up getting clean... it's more "IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE" for me and less like checkers.... but i totally understand.
