I wrote my first ever contract this morning. I just used 2 other contracts the Clerk had done in years past and plugged in our own information and added a few things of my own. Today I found out that ISBS from UCF has been approved as the polling organization. We will have a budget for this project of about $25,000. I was also told that I will be a key player in the writing of the contract. Very cool stuff, but I will definitely need a template. I went to Coronado Springs resort today as part of a Florida Clerk of Courts conference. One of the sessions I went to was on budgeting and rebasing. Pretty much the after effects of a constitutional amendment that cut away government funding and made Clerks self supporting. It was informative, but very dry.
