Today was about as slow as it gets. Almost everyone was out of the office from meetings or vacations. I did manage to get in contact with Duval County and set up a phone conference with Palm Beach for Wednesday. I went back to church this morning. I have decided that I really enjoy the "traditional" worship service over the contemporary one. And it really has to do with the music I think. A shorter entry for a shorter work day. Started getting in proposals from the different companies and I was putting some of their responses into an excel spreadsheet. The initial responses are more expensive than expected. Tried calling Duval and Palm Beach County. The people I needed to talk to weren’t in.

This morning I had a conference call with the Deputy Clerk of Courts from Sarasota County. She told me about her automated internal customer service program. They have 43 kiosks set up- one at every customer service window. It gives a brief survey they are encouraged to fill out. I didn’t see Carmen at all today. I read more of my survey research book and tried to look into data requirements (cross tabulations, etc) and I also typed out a set of initial specs that I could send to the companies. There was a great chorus of Alleluias today as my brand new phone was installed this morning. I tested it out and everything seems to be working fine. It is a good thing because I plan on making calls to polling companies as early as tomorrow.
