Saunders...Very Funny

George Saunders' "Pastoralia" and "Civilwarland in Bad Decline" are two of the great funny stories of our time. And this week, Saunders wrote a short piece about Sarah Palin in the New Yorker and it is -- to put in decidedly non-New-Yorker terms -- funny as shit. Please read it. The first few paragraphs alone are worth the click.... Leave a comment

Loved it. Speaking of regular guys, we presented Leo Kottke (totally Regular) opening for Judy Collins (kinda Elite-y) this past Monday (that's right: MONDAY!). Both were excellent, but Leo I could have watched for another two hours. Best line: "Germans have done for the consonant what Hawaiians did for the vowel."

Priceless.

I've worked with Leo before and he is the ultimate low-maintenance, high-return prince. One of the funnier guys alive, too.
