Smeared in sun-tan lotion. A bottle of empty Draino at my feet. Tickets in my pocket. Gas in the car. Beer (plenty) loaded and submerged in the ice cooler. Sunglasses upon my head. Ready. Set. Go.

The sweat never seems to stop running in Chicago summer time. I'm back. 1,090 miles covered. 19 hours worth of driving. A bug plastered, cow manure stained car cooling off outside. I went to Missouri to visit my "other" side of the family of which I had not seen for a couple of years or more.
