After David goes away, it takes some time for Dean to pull himself together, to come half-way down. He's seeing Jon later and he'll know he's high, of course he will, but if Dean manages to keep in check until they get as drunk as they are planning...it should work out.

...and it does.

Jon has gone home, albeit reluctantly, and Dean's grown restless again.
He's flipping channels, but nothing's interesting on the telly.
He's not expecting the phone to ring. He is not.

David might come by. That might be distracting enough for a while.

Back after his trip out of town, the first thing that Dean does is stashing his pay away in a safe place, getting rid of his clothes and getting under the shower. He still can't think clearly, can't process properly. He doesn't want to.
