I largely ignored the beat writers and resisted any attempt that was made to interest me in them in school. I found them to have written incomprehensible garbage with an arrogant holier-than-thou attitude towards others. It pissed me off that people considered them brilliant when they so obviously wrote because they considered themselves

Yes, shipping is pretty terrible. I wish I'd kept my mother's typewriter.
