I read the warning and thought I was ready but you guys wrecked me! I actually had to stop reading cause I was crying so hard I couldn't see the screen anymore! I've taken a breather and I have to say, I've never been more moved by anything I've ever read before. You two are very brave and incredible writers! Thank you for sharing yourselves with us. *hugs you back* I'm sorry you got so upset but I think that means that the writing was good and you love the characters as much as we do. This was an incredibly hard chapter for Mica and I to write. Is it horrible that I am glad that Dax died (not that I am happy with the way he died) but that they were still madly in love and happy after ten years and his death is what ends their relationship rather than having them break up becuse of cheating or abuse or Sam mainipulating Dean's feelings or something which is why he gets back together with Sam? The grief scene when he comes the front door of their house for the first time after Dax is gone reminded me of the scene in "Return to Me". So heartbreaking!

Dean and Dax were genuinely in love and it would take death to separate them. Sam knew that he couldn't tear them apart after he saw them together at Christmas. Dean's grief was very raw and it affected you as it affected us while writing it. We cried too.
I haven't seen "Return to Me." Is it a love story like this one?

Yeah, it's good! It's sad but really funny too! It stars David Duchovny, Minnie Driver, Bonnie Hunt, Jim Belushi, David Allen Grier, et al. Duchovney's wife dies in a car accident towards the beginning of the movie (although she is in less than 15 mins of the film you really get a good sense of how in love they are) and her heart gets transplanted into Minnie Driver's character. At first after the accident he is in shock but when he finally gets home to his empty house it hits him that she isn't coming back and he just collapses on the floor right in front of the door in their hall. After that he becomes despondant and depressed and withdraws from his friends until he meets Driver and they have a connection but things get complicated when she discovers that she was the recipient of his dead wife's heart.

That sounds like a movie I'd enjoy. I always liked David D. in the X Files and the movie Kalifornia with Brad Pitt. There's no way to accurately describe the feeling at the loss of your lover. I went a little crazy with grief after Zach was murdered. Only the constant support and love of my best friend kept me alive.

This chapter was heart breaking to write. Mica and I were both emotionally drained afterwards. Dean is going to be with Sam so there is hope that Sam will help to heal him!

I had to stop reading to wipe away tears! It's been awhile since I've been this deeply affected by a story! I am so worried over Dean! Please let Sammy save him! *puppy eyes* Incredible writing!

We wrote this with the intent of it getting an emotional response. It seems to have been affective. We were emotionally drained after writing this because it was so intense. Sam does have a chance to save Dean now. We'll have to see what happens!
