I read this from someone's rec list awhile ago and made a mental note to comment when I had the time (which is now), and thought it was my favorite from that list. It so evokes last days of summer coming of age, it's a beauty...I love how you can make it both innocent and hot at the same time, that's so jeff/annie...

I've been kicking around online today and doing some re-reading, and I apparently never left you a comment on this story. (!) I love it - it has a different vibe from a lot of your other stories - it's dreamy and pretty and relaxed and sexy and kind of darkly uncomplicated, all at the same time. It as wonderful to read it again, and made me long for the upcoming summer, and sitting outside in the dark with a cold drink on a hot night.

If I recall correctly I wrote this during a crazy heat wave we were having that caused the power to go out for an entire night, so I think a lot of this fic is my own projected feelings about a miserably hot night. Unfortunately, I didn't have a Jeff Winger to keep me company. BOO.

This is so good on the sensuality (I felt the heat and it's winter here) and physicality, and the ending is glorious. Such a good job on the 'I want you/we're not ready for this' dance.
