Apologies to my best friend V. Several of the scenes here were inspired by the night she gave birth to her little girl.
Much thanks as always to the lovely
0penhearts for the beta and for epic ideas for Troy/Abed shenanigans.
Titles comes from e.e. cummings.

"She steps forward and hands Annie a little yellow stuffed elephant. “It’s from the gift shop. It’s nothing.”"
That made me tear up, I don't know why, it's just so sweet and honest somehow.
And I hope Britta teaches baby Rachel the beauty of Thom Yorke's music from early on. I wouldn't want to miss out on that.

I had actually originally had a line in there about how Britta intends on taking over Rachel's music education because Jeff and Annie both have crap taste in music. So yeah, in my head, she does. Lol.

I love that this was almost more about Britta then Jeff/Annie and the baby, I love that Britta is so damn awesome, I love that they share a birthday and a middle name! This is like, everything I love about these characters all wrapped up into one story - love love love it.
(I want them all to grow old together. Britta can live above the garage and date men much younger and much douchier than she is, and Jeff will give her shit about how she's just like Pierce until she meets a very nice investment banker who she denies being in love with for two years because he's a Republican. And Troy and Abed will throw her a wedding, and her new husband will be slightly uncomfortable that her first dance is with both of them - yeah both of them - but whatever, Abed's making a movie about them so it's like, research or something. Rachel's his production assistant.)

Until proven otherwise, this is my head-canon. I just want this entire group to be friends forever and ever until they're sitting around a table at a retirement home having the same conversations and teasing Britta about how she says Bah-gel ( ... )

You even managed to write the whole hospital/child birth thing with a sense of reality. As someone who has been there (9 months ago!) I'm very glad you didn't turn it into the "chaos" that Britta was expecting. Overall, this was very well written and absolutely adorable and I do hope you write more community fics in a timely manor. :D
Good work!

I am eagerly awaiting more Jeff/Annie from your brilliant mind. But Jeff/Annie with Britta is the bomb.
Btw, have you imagined any of your stories to belong in one timeline? Because if this one belongs to that epic 5-post fic of yours, the 6-month "hate" period for Britta kinda makes sense, right?

It's funny because I hadn't really meant to put this into the same universe as any of my other fics but then I realized I had sort of stolen a couple of ideas from the 5-part one. (Like Jeff and Annie betting on who it was Britta had made out with and Britta's 6-month period of adjustment). So unofficially in my head this was kind of an epilogue for that one.
