Pointless gripe on a pointless subject (Been missing my quota I think) aka Katie Couric bashing

May 05, 2004 03:56

You know, it absolutely confounds me that people actually choose to watch the news on NBC in the mornings. There are a few nice people that actually have some journalistic integrity working there I am sure but they all get eclipsed by the uber-bitch known as Katie Couric. I can't believe anyone could be that full of themselves and think they are ( Read more... )

Media? Biased? Nooo....

Actually the best US news source at the moment is Fox News. They report on the stuff that the other channels won't touch because it doesn't fit in with their agenda.

Yeah, I know there has always been bias in media, I particularly find pre-WW1 US newspapers interesting with their sympathetic nature towards fascism and Mussolini yet utter contempt toward the communists due to their wealthy-oil-baron-type-owners, it just the NBC's morning news doesn't even bother to disguise it, they act like their audience is due for a conversion. But for the most part I just really despise Katie Couric.

I too enjoy today's FOX news, the underdog is definitely the way to go in this current situation. My brother really likes the Christian broadcast news since he noticed that they report any and everything that happens way before the big news channels, albeit with a slant but it is out there first.

I actually get most of my news from the radio, during my drive to work in the morning. http://www.warroom.com

Also my friend Blake's site: http://www.nashvillefiles.com/blog

It is frightening that people still believe all news is unbiased and merely reporting the facts.

Yeah, I used to do nothing but rant, I think i have mellowed in my old age, but I still got a few angry ramblings left in me yet. I think I am at the transition point in life where one doesn't get so much angry about things as sarcastic and cranky, I will make a fine curmudgeon someday, griping about "those young people nowadays" and the government and the quality of products sold at Wal-Mart, all from the comfort of the padded seat of a "rascal" scooter.

Can't complain, not with this government we got, the media would blow it out of proportion and I would end up in guatonamo bay picking straws with a bunch of arabs over who gets to get raped ... damn it why do I have to get the short straw!...actually it doesnt hurt after a littl....mabey Im taking that train of thought a little too far, it stopped being funny when it got so long you stopped reading this, not to be pressing or anything, but it has been excacly a year since you promised us that we would get a copy of those pics of our ...pics? I need to use different words...brain scattered, have you eaten at the restaraunt yet, yeah acording to the previous restaurant's sign we serve "Vegestables Daily" mmmm mmm good.

Damn, I totally forgot, did you want the graduation pics or the ones I took of your guys paintings and such? When I return to Jasper next month I will send them by way of Alan or something, man I am a turd. Nope, I haven't eaten at any restaurant in a long time, well actually I should say I haven't eaten at any outside of Birmingham (never anything to eat at my brother's place besides donuts, plenty variety of drinks though), been planning on it sometime soon though.

Hey, I am looking for something I thought you may able to help me with. I used to have this anime type cartoon when I was little about a little unicorn named Unico and I loved it so much. I was wondering if you new a website or something where I might be able to find it on DVD. I have searched, but I haven't been able to come up with anything.

Hmmm, the first one that pops into my head is Uni from the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon that was on CBS saturdays, I'll do some research though to make sure, what was the show about and what station did it come on?
