I always knew there was some purpose for those crappy, inadequate hairgrips. Even though they always used to fall out of my hair :'(

Considering my bush-like hair used to eat hairpins like they were penny sweets, it's nice to teach the buggers that they have a useful purpose.

Not only internet, but drier-fresh pyjamas, sesame snaps, and XFM, slashfic and SoulSeek for the first time in a month. I'm all yay right now.

We had what was ostensibly peach melba for dessert today; I asked the chef what was in it, and he shrugged. Not a good sign!

I hope your face is doing better today, too. Investigate some Nurofen Plus/generic ibuprofen plus codeine if you haven't already.

Peach Melba is people! justbluemyself October 20 2004, 12:50:02 UTC
I have an Aunt Melba. I don't think you should be eating something called "peach melba."

Come to think of it, the sauce was red, and had a blood-like consistency...

...okay, I shouldn't try to put myself off food even more!

I have exactly the same problem with my laptop. I think. Only I'm not adept at manipulating hairpins. Do you reckon I can get someone in a shop to do it for me?

It's the kind of thing a PC World employee probably wouldn't spot immediately -- take it in to a computer shop and tell them what you think the problem is, and they probably won't rip you off so much. (Make sure you know the names of the relevant bits, as the key is to look like you know what you're talking about, even if you're shit with computers.)

Personally, if you have a friend who claims to 'know about computers', I wouldn't trust them, as if their finger slips you could end up doing more harm than good.

Even if dinner does turn out to be remodeled pork, nothing is more delicious than the sweet sweet flavor of internet in your bedroom.
