I managed to injure myself getting off a motorcycle. A motorcycle which was completely stopped. I lost my balance while swinging my right leg over the luggage rack, and rather than just falling I tried to save things. In doing so, I twisted my left leg, which earned me a neato spiral fracture of my fibula and some possible, as-yet-unknown damage

I am so super sorry. That BLOWS. Are you getting the cast/crutches deal?

They put a temporary cast-like thing on her. The orthopedist gets to decide whether she gets a real cast or a high-tech boot or what not. She has crutches, but her house is not really set up for them, and the temporary cast doesn't protect her foot very well.
