Can I pick your brain?

I am eager to explore new and different surfaces to make art on or, at least use as a backing. I've tried the traditional things.......panels, wood, etc. I'm thinking non-traditional. Anyone ever tried anything like this?

Pieces of old stucco. The wire mesh hangs out in places, textures are different where parts have crumbled, colors vary depending on weathering. Very cool stuff. I got a bunch from a house renovation going on near by. The workers thought I was nuts when I asked for some.

Also, a la Keds idea: a friend's son's girfriend has these kick ass pair of rubber boots that she hand painted using the paints you can buy now to paint plastic garden furniture....hey...what about plastic garden furniture?

You could paint on those little muffin pans for the oven and then hang them backwards (I think they come ready made with a hole). High heeled shoes would be cool to papier-mache or pound nails through or something.

By the way, I got your package! Thank you so much--I really love the extras you sent. Yay.
