Having major angst about whether or not to watch the season finale until like maybe...October. Can anyone advise me?

Vague spoilers, if at all possible, although I think I've already spoiled myself aplenty!

Also, I've started a new resurrected!John story, so there is that.

I thought it was pretty fantastic. I laughed, I cried, I cheered, and I yelled at my TV repeatedly (as cliche as that sounds, it's all true). The cliffhanger is insane and really sets up the potential for something (or many somethings) awesome. Very, very excited to see where this goes come October.

Wow, I love all of you. Already feeling better! I was just so put out earlier in the season and haven't quite recovered. But this is my *heart* show and I want it to stay that way. :)

All I can say is that I really, really enjoyed it. I am about to get stuck into my review but yeah....I was left satisfied. :)))

(and yes, it's more than a little ridiculous how slightly over-invested I am, but I figure we're all still in this together!)

I don't think it satisfied everyone though. Maybe it was because I WANTED to like it so much that I did....

My expectations are low enough now (but a little hopeful for the future) that I think I will watch. I've also spoiled myself quite thoroughly by peeking at one post too many, sigh. Ah, me. Oh well.

But I am very hopeful for season 8, and the last third of this season has, to me, confirmed it's time for a changing of the guard. I am still a Sera fan but think she was ready to move on.

Let's just say during the whole summer is going to be a war between SamnDean fans and Dean/Castiel fans. Because the finale has wonderful potential of going either way. I'm firmly rooting for SamnDean of course.

Also, I'm pretty sure this finale also mean there MUST be a hug somewhere in Season 8!!

It's good I am terrible at noticing such feuds...or I just don't hang out there, I guess. I have been a Sam&Dean girl from the first moment I saw them.

Desperately need that hug though! Usually, we're due one per season.

The finale by itself is unremarkable, but the setup at the end is unexpected and very exciting. Do watch! I think it has GREAT fanfic potential. :)

where John and Dean break into that mental hospital and haul broken!Sammy out themselves

This is really, really good to know! I have really felt the writing has been lackluster for the last third of the season - with the exception of the glorious Charlie ep - don't remember the title!

I think bringing in Jeremy Carver will be a good thing for the show and I'm just so happy to get a new season.

The goal is to actually write today, so who knows...stranger things have happened! :)
