The Sun Is Beautiful Again, Today

I had a lovely walk yesterday, and another short one today.  Yesterday I had to walk to get Nick's birthday pressie in the post, and also to deliver Claire's pressie to their house.  She was out (Tim was at work), so I left it in their recycling bin in the back garden, as I have a key to their back gate (and remembered to take it with me).  I then ( Read more... )

Mr Cee studied Henry IV Part 1 and I did Romeo and Juliet at school.

Your DBS bureaucracy sounded unnecessarily complicated!

Ironically a week or so before my O levels they showed Henry V on the TV ... really confused me even further.

The DBS was so frustrating - and why I didn't get a reminder email was anyone's guess

I have just had my 'I aten't dead' form returned to me...

We are required to fill a form in every few years to say we still live at the same address and still have the same bank details, to be witnessed by someone unrelated, to continue receiving our nurses' pensions, and so you can see why the nick-name.

When we sent mine off - in November(!) - we had forgotten to put the occupation of my witness. So now both her and I will have to sign and date again, in case I have died in the meantime, presumably - and put 'retired civil servant' in the relevant box.

Well I am glad that you were able to prove you were both alive.

Maybe November was a month of madness within Gov.uk as that's when mine all started, as well!

At long last I have heard that the paperwork is with the DBS people

Oh my gosh, how frustrating and time consuming!

I have actually...and it was Romeo and Juliet LOL. And I've seen various versions of his plays in movies of course. I have no houseplants other than silk ones because I have a brown thumb. It's sad when I had a small cactus that died :P. This month has been nice, just drama-free and nothing extraordinary.
